Used for
Low-volume bilirubin testing where a result is needed at the bedside rather than in a batch run, which is why the 10 ul sample volume and 3 second analysis time matter more here than throughput. Samples are drawn with a Safety Lancet 2.4 mm or Disposable Lancet into a Capillary Tube, and a Haematocrit Centrifuge is often on the same bench. Batch chemistry runs on the Clinical Chemistry Analyser instead.
Packing and documentation
Supplied in institutional quantities against a purchase order. School Instrument India states on its ordering pages that consignments carry a tracking ID and courier details until delivery, and that installation assistance, training manuals and technical support are provided with medical devices supplied to institutions. Mixed laboratory lots are quoted through the Tenders page.

Questions buyers ask
How much blood does the bilirubin meter need?
10 ul of whole blood, with a result in 3 seconds.
What is the stated measurement accuracy?
Approximately 5 per cent, with automated calibration, self-diagnosis and quality control flagging of abnormal results.
Does it print results?
Yes, through an integrated printer, and data can also be sent to a PC from the built-in software.
What setting is it intended for?
Intensive care, emergency departments and other low-volume hospital settings, rather than batch laboratory runs.
What are the power and environmental requirements?
220 V at 50 Hz with voltage surge protection, 15 C to 35 C, humidity up to 80 per cent, with a stand-by mode after 30 minutes.
How is a bilirubin meter quoted?
Against a written requirement rather than a list figure. Send the quantity and setting through the contact page and a quotation covering packing and despatch is returned against that specification.
